The Yarraville Cricket Club has been saddened by the recent passing of Jack Gilham an esteemed past President and life member of our club.
Jack first joined the cricket club in 1967 with son John playing at the club as a junior. Jacks other sons Geoff and Phillip also played for the club.
Jack undertook many roles for the club as a committee member, popular team manager and ultimately served as club president from 1986 to 1990. Jack and his son John were both awarded life membership for their dedication and service to the club.
Jack moved out of the Yarraville area to the north eastern suburbs for health reasons in his latter retirement years but still remained totally committed and interested in the clubs fortunes and followed our results with great interest.
The clubs members and committee offer their sincere condolences to the extended Gilham family.
